Applications of Oil Palm Ash and Various Types of Organic Fertilizer on Acid Soil (Ultisol) for Onion (Allium ascalonicum L)

Onion production in Riau Province is still low, while the demand quite large. Therefore, it necessary to increase production. This study aimed determine effect of application oil palm ash and various types organic fertilizers on ultisol soils growth shallots. The design used was a completely randomized factorial consisting 2 factors. first factor provision which consisted 4 levels treatment, namely: 0, 200,400, 600 g/plot. second consist without giving fertilizer, chicken manure, tankos compost corn litter bokashi. parameters observed were plant height, number tubers per clump, wet tuber weight dry weight, percentage loss, relative rate nutrient uptake. plants, tubers, clump best treatment 400 g/plot main bunches real all observation parameters, fertilizer parameters.
